Officials from Wynn Resorts and MGM Resorts International are monitoring the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, particularly as it has reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where both companies are involved in developing multibillion-dollar hotel and entertainment projects.
The UAE is among 14 Middle Eastern countries where the U.S. State Department has advised Americans to leave immediately through commercial transportation due to “severe, escalating safety risks.” This advisory follows the recent joint airstrikes conducted by the U.S. and Israel on Iran.
In response to the airstrikes, Iranian forces have launched a series of drones and missiles throughout the region, with two of these striking locations in Dubai, resulting in damage to several hotels and Dubai International Airport.
