Insights from Stephen Carter
Stephen Carter, Head of Affiliate Content and internal judging lead at WorldGaming, remarked that the iGB Affiliate Awards serve as a premier recognition platform for businesses and professionals in the iGaming affiliate industry. He noted that past participants have reported that the Awards process has motivated teams, strengthened business relationships, and created numerous marketing opportunities. Winning nominations can help organizations distinguish themselves from competitors and gain industry recognition.
New Categories and Updates
In light of industry feedback, two new categories have been introduced, and two existing categories have been enhanced to align with sector dynamics.
- Best New Programme: This new category recognizes iGaming affiliate programs launched on or after January 1, 2024, emphasizing startups that have established a presence in the competitive market.
- SEO Superstar: Introduced in response to requests for more individual awards, this category acknowledges the SEO professional who has significantly improved the visibility of affiliate websites in the iGaming sector during the 2025 assessment period. It is open to freelance, consultancy, agency, or in-house SEOs.
Additionally, the Best Employer category has expanded to involve all businesses within the iGaming affiliate sector, not just affiliates. The Best Affiliate Manager category has also been updated to include a hybrid voting format, allowing industry votes on the judge’s top-marked candidates from the first round.
Awards Timeline
The nominations will close on March 27, with the shortlist of finalists set to be announced on May 5. Voting for the Best Affiliate Manager category will also begin on the same day, with voting for both the Best Affiliate Manager and Game of the Year categories concluding on May 29.
